Obituary for Aneta Joan Dyck

Aneta Joan Dyck
1935-2022

On July 18, 1935, Aneta Dyck was born to parents Jacob and Lena Dyck in Vanguard, Saskatchewan and grew up on a farm at Pambrun, Saskatchewan. For many years she made the annual trip back to Saskatchewan to visit even after she had moved to Winnipeg.

Aneta received her education in Pambrun and Swift Current, SK. After finishing high school, she went to Business College in Saskatoon which was followed by two years at Briercrest Bible College. Afterwards she worked for a while at Medical Services in Saskatoon, then at CPR in Calgary before moving to Vancouver. This was followed by a move back to Saskatchewan for a while.

In 1964 Aneta moved to Winnipeg and began her 25 years of employment at Ford Motor Company. This was followed by eight years working as a bookkeeper for the Manitoba M.B. Conference in Winnipeg. Aneta retired from official employment in 1997 but remained active in her community and church and enjoyed some international travel.

Aneta was a good friend to many, a faithful member of the Portage Avenue M.B. Church and kept in touch by phone with many of her out-of-province relatives. She was also a faithful supporter of her local church (Portage Avenue), a faithful friend to many and a generous financial supporter of charitable organizations.

In the last year Aneta faced numerous health challenges and she died peacefully on November 5, 2022, in hospital in Winnipeg. She leaves behind cousins and friends in Manitoba and beyond.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on November 14, 2022 at Friends Funeral Service, 2146 Main St, Winnipeg, with viewing prior. Interment Chapel Lawn.
