Obituary

CHRISTOPHER WILLIAMS

After a lengthy illness, Christopher passed away peacefully with family by his side.

He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Shannon Hallett. Children: Christian (Denae), Vaughn, Riley (Billie), and daughter Hailey. Grandchildren: Nevaeh, Nathaniel, Luke, Maddox, Beau, and Malakai. Mother: Linda Williams. Brother: Jeff Williams (Candace) and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Christopher was predeceased by his grandparents Pearl and Joe Williams, Pansy and James Robinson, father Colin Williams, in-laws Geraldine and Jerry Hallett, son Ethan Williams, as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Chris was born in Winnipeg where he spent the early years of adolescence before residing on Peguis First Nation. It was here that he met the love of his life, Shannon Hallett, and soon after began the creation of their family. It was after their marriage in 1999 that Christopher and Shannon decided to raise their five children in Winnipeg.

It was after this move he began school to become an IT Technician where he graduated second in his class and soon met his future boss and friend, Kevin Clowes, who hired him right out of graduation at Western Micro Systems. This path soon lead him to become the Network Administrator for MFNERC in 2010.

Christopher had a passion for sports, most notably hockey, which he instilled in his children. Growing up, Chris could often be found out on the ice with his closest cousins, and later on chasing his children around hockey rinks around the world and football fields across Manitoba. Christopher was what many could call a social butterfly and was always up to have a good time. He spent much of his time visiting with friends, playing pool, and golfing with those he held most dear; breakfast with the boys was one of his favourite pastimes.

When his battle began taking its' toll, he turned his sights onto other hobbies, most notably cooking and barbecuing. He could talk for hours about the various recipes he wanted to try and his steak will be longed for by his family for years to come. Before his passing, Chris was sure to teach his youngest son, Riley, the art of grilling.

Christopher was a man of numerous qualities, many of which can be found in his children. His strength and resilience were prominent in the way he lived his life. He always made sure his family was provided for and, though his time on this earth was cut short, taught them many lessons which they will take moving forward in their lives.

If Christopher has taught anything to the fullest it would be, that if your will is strong enough anything is possible. We love you, will forever miss you, and will hold you in our hearts with each passing day. Until we meet again.
