Obituary for Collin James Anderson

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved son and brother, Collin James Anderson.

Collin was born on May 25, 1985, and was welcomed into a huge community of family and friends. He was a happy baby that captured the attention of everyone around him. As a young boy, Collin was always very active, enjoying hockey, baseball, wakeboarding, skateboarding, basketball on the driveway, and anything that brought him together with his family and friends.

He loved being outdoors, especially with his family and friends at the lake, which he called his “happy place”. We have fond memories of him flying down the gravel road on his bike to the boat launcher and continuing to peddle straight into the lake. Walking would’ve taken too long. He loved jumping off the highest point of Blueberry Hill with his brother Corey. They made it look easy. As he got older, Collin enjoyed the camaraderie of the bonfire with everyone from up and down the road.

He also had a heart as big as all outdoors. He would do anything for a friend, and frequently did. Collin had a soft spot for animals, especially dogs, which continued throughout his life. His most recent companions, Indie and Biggie, brought happiness to his life; he said they were his “kids”.

For the past nine years, his heart was captured by his niece Peyton. He loved spending time with her, playing games, watching movies, making faces at each other, and laughing at the same jokes. He was very proud of her and loved her unconditionally.

Collin will be greatly missed by his parents Evelin and Cliff, his brother Corey (Ashley) and niece Peyton, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family and friends.

We would like to thank Chad and Brandon for being such good friends to Collin; and thanks to Ricky for his continued friendship and for now watching over Collin’s dogs.

As per Collin’s wishes, there will be no formal service. We will carry him with us in our hearts and thoughts forever.
