Obituary for Cornelius Krahn

Cornelius Krahn

On Friday, December 4, 2020, Cornelius Krahn, loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother passed away at the age of 76.

Cornelius was born on December 10, 1943 in Chaco, Paraguay, to Wilhelm and Anna Krahn. Cornelius lived there until 1969, when he moved to Canada. On September 13, 1975, he married Norma (Bogado) Krahn. Together they raised two daughters, Charlene and Sherrilyn.

Cornelius worked as a machine operator at DeFehr Furniture for over 20 years and retired at 63 years of age.
Cornelius had a strong faith in God and his Christian faith was very evident in the way he lived his life. He was an active member of Kilcona Park Alliance Church and served faithfully as an usher for many years.
Cornelius had a passion for gardening and always looked forward to tending his large garden every summer. He also loved to go biking whenever he had the chance, and go golfing with his friends. Breakfast dates with his daughters were also something he enjoyed.

Cornelius was known for his quiet sense of humor, his positive outlook on life, and his immense love for his family.
Cornelius was preceded in death by his father Wilhelm, his mother Anna, and his brother-in-law Jakob Schroeder. He is survived by his wife Norma, his two children, Charlene (Chris), and Sherrilyn, his grandchildren, Eliana, Liam, and Myles, his five brothers, Henry (Liese), Gerhard (Neta), John (Lena), Bernhard (Justina), Diedrich (Susie), his five sisters, Helen (Peter), Tina (John), Mary (Henry), Trudy (Levi), Eva (Rudy), and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
