Ewald Jabs of Winnipeg, MB passed away Monday January 23, 2023 at the age of 86.
Ewald was born November 22, 1936 in Neposnanitch, Ukraine. He was baptized in August 1952, just before moving to Canada in September of 1952. On May 1, 1965 Ewald married the love of his life, Lydia (nee Bettig). Ewald was an incredible man who worked hard and loved those around him deeply. His loving and hospitable personality has left an impact on those fortunate enough to have met him, and he will be missed dearly.
Ewald will forever remain in the hearts of his family and loved ones; wife, Lydia (nee Bettig); sons, Rob (Deanne), Dan (Shantelle), Rick (Tracy), John (Gabbie); grandkids, Samuel (Shaelyn), Jessica (Mederic), Amanda, David, Katrina and Brooke; his sisters, Hildegard and Elfriede and his brother, Edmund (Alma).
He is predeceased by his father Samuel, mother Erna and stepdad John Schink.
Ewald will be honoured with a celebration of life on Friday, January 27, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Mission Baptist Church, 771 Sargent Avenue, Winnipeg, MB.
In memory of Ewald, donations may be made to Meadowood Manor Foundation or Mission Baptist International.
