JOHN GEORGE KLASSEN
FEBRUARY 28, 1928 TO April 26, 2022

John was born in Manitou, Manitoba to George & Elizabeth (Wiebe) Klassen, the youngest of six siblings.

He leaves to mourn, his wife Mary (Huebert) of 71 years, his children Viola (Peter), Eric (Anne) and Irene (David deceased), seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. He was a man of faith, loving, gentle, and kind. In the last years he never failed to tell us how much he loved us, his family.

John was an elementary school teacher for 36 years, teaching in various schools in Southern Manitoba and Winnipeg as well as teaching adult Sunday School for many years.

We are very grateful to the 2N staff of Donwood Manor for their compassionate care of our father.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, May 2, 2022 at 11 AM at the McIvor Avenue Mennonite Brethren Church, 200 McIvor Avenue, Winnipeg. Masks and vaccinations required.
