Joshua Paul McDermott
November 3, 1986 - March 26, 2022
It is with deep sadness we announce the sudden passing of Joshua Paul McDermott on March 26, 2022 of a medical emergency at Heath Science Centre, at the age of 35.
He will be deeply missed by his parents Marian and Barry, life partner Dustin Hradowy, grandmother Elenore Unger; brothers, Vince (Crystal), David, Wayne (Elizabeth), Christopher and sister Sara (Josh Mc Fadden).
Joshua was born and raised in Winnipeg. He graduated from Springs Christian Academy and at 17 joined the military. He was employed at the Winnipeg James Armstrong Richardson International Airport.
Joshua loved cooking, reading and was a huge movie buff. He especially loved his dog Bella and his cat Kitty.
He will always be remembered as a big hugger and spending countless hours with his mother.
A special thank you to Herb and Erna Buller for their support during this difficult time. The family would like to extend their appreciation to the staff at Health Science Centre for their great attempts, compassion, and support. Many thanks to the countless people for their thoughts & prayers and to all the people at Springs Church for their love and support.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, April 18, 2022 at Springs Church, 725 Lagimodiere Blvd, with officiating Pastor Jeff Romas.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Josh’s memory to Adult and Teen Challenge or Health Science Centre Foundation.
