Obituary for Pajo "Paul" Radocaj

Pajo (Paul) Radocaj was born on July 10, 1939 in Croatia and later immigrated to Canada.

Predeceased by his parents, Tomo & Maria; his brothers, Dragan, Vinko, Ante, Mile of Cleveland, Ohio; sister Dragica of Sydney, Australia and Mate of Sydney, Australia.

He has left to mourn his sister Milka of Italy, daughter Vera (Derrick), son Mate (Crystal); grandkids, Amanda, Payton and Ryden; nieces and nephews, friends and close neighbours.

Pajo was a construction worker and could build or fix anything. After he retired, he continued to do side jobs to keep busy and enjoyed being able to help out friends and family, this kept him healthy and strong.

During winter months he often went hunting and made the best deer meat stew, among his home-made sour cabbage soup.

In the summer he planted a garden, not for himself but to give fresh vegetables to his family, friends, and neighbours.
You could often find him sitting on his deck watching the garden grow or putsking around with something while enjoying a glass of brandy.

He loved to play his accordion or his tumbercia (banjo) which he hand made himself.

He was well known in his neighbourhood and liked by everyone who met him and he enjoyed life to the fullest when he was with family and friends.

He will be missed by all, may he rest in peace.
