Obituary for Peter Unger
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our father Peter Unger, December 29th 2020, at the age of 83 years.
Peter was born in Haskett, Manitoba on July 20th, 1937. He was predeceased by his loving wife Lillian Jean of 47 years.
He leaves to mourn his daughters; Cindy (Reg), Cory (Bob), Shelley (John); grandchildren, Jennifer and Kenneth Goring, David and Tyler Chambers; and two great grandchildren; siblings, brother Jack, and sisters, Maggie and June.
Peter had a friendly demeanor and always enjoyed telling stories and jokes. He enjoyed cooking and baking for all his family and friends, especially his pickles and pies. He was always there with his handyman skills to lend a helping hand, and was dedicated to his volunteering and fundraising.
Last but not least, he enjoyed his involvement with Winnipeg Beach and The Gimli Farmers Market, with his wooden crafts.
