Obituary for Sigrid Auguste Los (Clausen)
Sigrid Los (born Clausen) passed away peacefully at Donwood Manor PCH on January 30, 2023.
She was predeceased by her husband Peter in 1999 and her brother Bernhard.
Sigrid was the 3rd child in a family of 8 brothers and sisters. Her surviving brothers and sisters and their families are saddened by Sigrid’s passing but are thankful that she is released from a long period of suffering and they all look forward to seeing her in heaven.
Left to mourn are her brother Harro (wife Esther) living in Switzerland, sister Adele Pedde (husband Edmund) living in Alberta, sister Liesbeth living in Germany, brother Erhard (wife Irmgard) in Alberta, and brothers Reimer (wife Nobuko) and Paul (wife Diane) here in Winnipeg, plus many nephews and nieces spread all over the world.
Sigrid was born on the island Pellworm in the North Sea, Germany. She came to Canada with her parents and brothers and sisters in 1956. She spent most of her life working at the Health Sciences Centre, first as a Nurse’s Aide and later as an LPN. She was an active member at Calvary Temple for over 20 years, and after her husband’s passing rejoined Mission Baptist Church and did much volunteer work.
To commemorate her life a viewing will take place on February 7, 2023 from 7:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Friends Funeral Service, 2146 Main Street, Winnipeg. Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on February 8, 2023 at Friends Funeral Service, with viewing prior. Interment to follow service at Chapel Lawn Cemetery, 4000 Portage Ave.
Sigrid, you did a lot for your brothers and sisters. We are very thankful. See you in the presence of Jesus.
